ÿ�մ������ America Applauds Associations and Washington State Voters Efforts to Protect Energy Choice

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (December 13, 2024) –&�Բ�����;ÿ�մ������n, a leading manufacturer of tankless water heaters in North America, applauds and supports the efforts of various associations including the Nation Propane Gas Association, the Pacific Propane Gas Association, and others to oppose the state’s efforts to ban and limit access to gas fueled appliances through the State Building Codes Council (SBCC). 

On November 5, voters in the state of Washington were heard securing a majority “yes” to Initiative Measure No. 2066 which repeals regulations preventing gas hookups in new homes and requiring existing homes to transition from gas to electric heating. This ensures consumers will have choices when it comes to appliances they use for heating, cooking, and other uses.

Recently, ÿ�մ������ has made efforts to encourage the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to carefully consider proposed efficiency standards on water heaters and to preserve consumers' right to continue to choose from all types of tankless water heaters. ÿ�մ������ continues to engage the DOE and provide insights and recommendations as proposed standards are evaluated. ÿ�մ������ has also fought for consumer tankless options at the state levels, including California, New York, and others.
